pixel art tutorials?

2017-01-28 15:32:03 by Exzyle

Hey guys,

so I'm currently trying to work on a tiny game with one of my friends, but animating sprites proves to be far more difficult than I imagined it to be, lol

question is do you have any favorite sites or links for tutorials that you think may prove useful?

thank you, much love

"Pixel art" is a bit generic. What type of sprites are you wanting to make?

Exzyle responds:

true, true

well, this thing i'm working on sorta resembles TLoZ: A Link to the Past, so 3/4 top down perspective i think

I mainly use The Spriters Resource for specific sprites from like Zelda, Street Fighter, Castlevania or any other old 2D game.

If you're looking for animation tutorials, you can look up any animation tutorial on YouTube and I'm pretty sure it'll be helpful. One series of tutorials that helped me a lot was Happy Harry's animation tutorials.

I hope this helps you in some way or another.
